What the work involves.
Bathroom remodels range from a refresh to a rebuild. A refresh keeps the tub, shower, toilet and vanity where they are and replaces what you see: tile, fixtures, vanity, lighting, paint. A rebuild changes the layout — converting a tub to a walk-in shower, moving a vanity, enlarging a shower — which means plumbing and sometimes walls move. Knowing which one you want is the first thing we’ll talk through, because it is the biggest factor in scope and cost.
Whatever the scope, the work that matters most is behind the finishes: waterproofing behind shower tile, a level subfloor, proper ventilation, and plumbing that is sound before it is closed up. Older bathrooms in Salt Lake City, Ogden and Provo often reveal soft subfloor or corroded supply lines once tile comes out; we plan for that and tell you what we find.

Built for Utah bathrooms
Utah’s hard water is rough on fixtures, glass and grout. Choosing finishes that stand up to mineral buildup — quality valves, easy-clean tile and grout, glass that can be treated or squeegeed — makes a remodel look new for longer. Ventilation matters too: in a dry climate people underestimate how much moisture a daily shower puts into a small room.
In Salt Lake City and most Northern Utah cities, moving plumbing or electrical in a bathroom requires a permit and inspection; replacing fixtures in place generally does not. If you live in a condo or an HOA neighborhood, check the CC&Rs for work-hour or approval rules — we’ll work within them.

Bathroom Remodeling questions.
How long does a bathroom remodel take?
It depends on scope. Replacing finishes in the same layout is a much shorter job than moving plumbing and rebuilding a shower, and material lead times affect the schedule. We’ll give you a realistic timeline with your estimate.
Can you convert my tub to a walk-in shower?
Yes. Tub-to-shower conversions are one of the most common bathroom projects we do — the tub comes out, the drain and valve are adjusted, and a tiled or low-curb shower goes in its place.
Do I need a permit to remodel a bathroom in Salt Lake City?
If plumbing, electrical or walls change, yes. Swapping a vanity, toilet or tile in the same place usually does not. We’ll tell you which applies to your project.
What affects the cost of a bathroom remodel?
Whether the layout changes, how much tile is involved, the vanity and fixtures you choose, and what we find behind the old finishes. Estimates are free, and we’ll show you where the money goes.
Do you remodel small bathrooms and half baths?
Yes — small bathrooms, half baths and basement bathrooms are all welcome projects, not just full master-bath rebuilds.
Where do you remodel bathrooms?
