A 1995 slab poured thin on unprepared clay has spalled at the surface, cracked through, and heaved or settled at the joints — and it can’t be patched back to life. We cut out and haul away the old concrete, excavate and compact a gravel base, form and pour with an air-entrained mix, place control joints where cracking should happen, and finish it to match the walk and garage apron. The ground varies across the city.
